PRESS RELEASE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Structure Fire
Petersboro, Utah – August 6, 2013 – The Mendon Fire Department with automatic aid departments responded to a report of a structure fire at 43 North 5545 West, Petersboro.  The fire was reported by the home occupants who had been doing some remodeling to the building.
Upon arrival the fire department found heavy amounts of smoke and fire.  A tender task force was dispatched due to the remote nature of the location with no hydrants in the area.  A large propane tank was found to be in danger from the fire and additional personnel were needed prompting a second alarm.  As 10:48 pm firefighters are still battling the blaze by transporting water through the use of water tenders.  More information will be released as it becomes available.
