Structure Fire 1301 North 600 West BATC

PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE


Logan, Utah – November 22, 2011 – The Logan Fire Department responded to an automatic fire alarm located at Bridgerland Applied Technology College 1301 North 600 West Logan City.  The call came in at approx. 3:56 am. 

Upon arrival the fire department found smoke coming from two overhead garage doors in the maintenance shop.  The fire department made entry into the shop and found a small fire that involved a wood staining process.  The fire was quickly extinguished.

Fire damage was confined to the immediate area of the work table and smoke damage in the double bay shop.  No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire has been determined as accidental and caused by improper disposal of staining materials.

Structure Fire 320 East 500 North 11/17/11

PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE


Logan, Utah – November 17, 2011 – The Logan Fire Department responded to a report of a possible structure fire located at 320 East 500 North in Logan City.  The call came in at approx. 2:15 pm. 

The family had arrived home to find a smell of smoke in the home and dialed 911.    

Upon arrival the fire department found smoke in the attic space of the building and upgraded the incident to a working structure fire, bringing in automatic aid. The fire department made entry into a crawl space behind a wall in an upstairs bedroom and found a smoldering fire in the insulation.  The fire department was able to quickly extinguish the fire.

Fire damage was confined to the single bedroom with light smoke damage to other rooms of the home.  No injuries were reported of the home occupants or firefighters.

Logan Structure Fire 775 North 400 East

PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE


Logan, Utah – November 8, 2011 – The Logan Fire Department with automatic aid departments responded to a report of a structure fire located at 775 North 400 East in Logan City.  The call came in at approx. 5:35 pm. 

The family arrived home to find smoke in the home and a small fire in a basement bed room.  The family made an attempt to put the fire out with water but the smoke became heavy and they called 911.   

Upon arrival smoke was found coming from the home.  The fire department made entry and was able to quickly extinguish the fire.

Fire damage was confined to the single bedroom with light smoke damage to other rooms of the home.  No injuries were reported of the home occupants or firefighters.

The cause of the fire has been determined as accidental and caused by a juvenile playing with a candle.
