Logan Structure Fire

Structure Fire

 

Logan, Utah – July 1, 2013 – Sunday June 30, the Logan Fire Department with automatic aid departments responded to a report of a structure fire at 52 North 200 East, Logan.  The fire was reported to the 911 dispatch center by one of the occupants of the building at approx. 5:30 pm.

 

Upon arrival the fire department found heavy amounts of smoke coming from the building and flames from a side window.  The home was occupied by a woman and two teenage children.   All three had escaped the fire unharmed. 

 

The fire department entered the building and controlled the fire in a matter of a few minutes.  The home was heavily damaged by fire and the family was displaced.  Damage is estimated at $150,000.00. 

 

The Red Cross responded to provide housing and assistance to the family. 

 

The cause of the fire has been determined as accidental.  No other damage to structures or injuries was reported.
