Lower Canal Contaminated
Hyde Park and North Logan
(Logan UT) - Around 7pm Saturday night dispatch was contacted about oil in the lower canal in North Logan/Hyde Park area. Teams responded to find and isolate the source of the oil. It was determined that oil from a chip and seal project on 1800 North in North Logan was washed into the canal following today's rain. Units are in process of containing the spill.
If the water is brown or residents are noticing an unusual odor in their irrigation system in the North Logan/Hyde Park irrigation system, they should not water.
