Cache County Fire Units Respond to Franklin County

PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Cache County, Utah Aug 1, 2012 Units from Lewiston, Richmond, Trenton, Smithfield, North Logan and the Cache County Fire District responded to a grass fire located at MP 10 on SR 34 in Franklin County the call came in approximately 4:04 PM.

County fire units were able to help Franklin County units contain a large grass fire near the land fill after it had jumped SR 34. It took fire units three hours to contain the fire. The fire burned 250 acres.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation at this time.
