Logan Structure Fire

Structure Fire

Logan, Utah – Oct. 14, 2014 – The Logan Fire Department with automatic aid departments responded to a report of a structure fire at 273 West 240 North.  The fire was reported by a neighbor that could see smoke coming from the garage. At the time of the fire there were a number of simultaneous calls.

Upon arrival the fire department found a single family home with fire through the roof above a two car garage.  The fire department began extinguishing the fire from the outside until it was safe to enter and extinguish the remaining fire.  The home was occupied at the time of the fire by a couple and their pet.  

The home sustained extensive heat and smoke damage throughout all rooms.  Damage estimated at $100,000.  Fire crews will continue to stay on scene to control any hot spots throughout  the night and will conduct an investigation into the cause of the fire later in the morning.
