River Heights Car Fire
Logan, Utah – June 6, 2012 – The Logan Fire Department responded to a report of a vehicle fire located at 676 Summerwild Ave in River Heights. 911 dispatchers received the call at 5:51 am. Upon arrival a van was found in the driveway fully involved in fire.
The fire had spread to a motor home parked on one side of the van and had the potential to spread to the home on the other. Fire crews used hose lines to protect the home and stop the spreading fire on the motor home. Damage to the home was limited to some broken windows.
Fire crews extinguished the fire within a few minutes. The van and the motor home are a total loss. None of the home's occupants or firefighters was injured.
The cause of the fire continues to be under investigation in cooperation with the Sheriff’s Office.
