PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Logan family made the right call at the right time

Logan, Utah – October 21, 2011 – The Logan Fire Department with automatic aid departments responded to a report of a structure fire located at 1645 East 1700 North in Logan City.  The call came in at approx. 5:46 pm.  Upon arrival light smoke was found from the eaves of the home.

The family had seen light smoke in an upstairs bathroom.  The fire department made entry and found fire in the ceiling of the bathroom around a ceiling mounted heat light fixture.

Fire damage was confined to the bathroom with little smoke damage to other rooms of the home.  “This family made the right call at the right time.  If this fire continued to burn for a period of time or or into the night it would have certainly been a much worse outcome.”

None of the homes occupants or firefighters were injured. Damage was estimated at $5000.00. The cause of the fire has been determined as accidental.
